4 campervan-friendly spring break destinations

Typical spring break crowds? You won’t find them here

If throngs of college kids clutching red solo cups aren’t on the agenda this year, there are still plenty of other campervan-friendly spring break destinations that provide picturesque views rather than partying opportunities. And, you know, you can still BYOB after you’ve parked at the campsite for the night. Check out one of these 4 campervan-friendly spots this spring:

Whether you want to sit back and chill or are looking for a little more adventure, Grand Isle State Park provides everything you’ll need for a successful spring break. Located on the Gulf, Grand Isle is a great, campervan-friendly spring break spot for swimming, hiking, fishing, wildlife viewing, and so much more. You can even work New Orleans into your travel itinerary, as the world-famous Big Easy is only about two hours away. Just double-check that the park is open before you hit the road from our Austin or Nashville campervan rental locations, as hurricane season is known to cause temporary closures from time to time.

  • Distance from Austin: 9 hours

Isla Blanca State Park, Texas

With over a mile of dazzling oceanfront shoreline, Isla Blanca State Park is an ultra-fun and 100% campervan-friendly spring break destination in South Padre Island, TX. Although South Padre is generally lauded as a wild place for college kids to party, Isla Blanca offers a more secluded and low-key experience on the Texas coast. Expect full campervan accessibility, a variety of concessions and facilities, plus affordable cabana and boat rentals. Take your campervan out for a scenic spin north around the Palmito Hill Battlefield Memorial before making another stop at Boca Chica State Park, an alternative hotspot in the area.
